We take an individualized approach to your healthcare using the latest research and evidence and our treatments include:

- Exercise rehabilitation to strengthen and stretch key muscles of the body
- Shockwave therapy to promote healing and reduce inflammation/pain
- Spinal decompression to treat herniated discs, severe or chronic low back pain and sciatica
- Spinal Manipulation/mobilization to reduce pain, restore spinal mobility and improve muscle function
- Athletic taping and Kinesiology taping

Chiropractors are specifically trained to assess and treat your body’s entire neuromusculoskeletal system. Chiropractors utilize a drug-free, hand on approach to detect and alleviate problems with your nerves, muscles, bones, and joints.

Spinal manipulation through the Chiropractic adjustment has been shown to alter the way in which our central nervous system functions. It has been specifically shown to affect muscle reflexes, cognitive processing, reaction time, and the speed at which the brain processes information. These effects lead to decreased stress on the entire nervous system allowing it to function more efficiently.

Maintaining efficiency in all areas of the neuromuscular system through chiropractic treatment allows our bodies to perform at their optimal levels.

TCM ensures the body is treated as a whole physiological system. As the body resolves and recovers its physical pain, acupuncture is the integration tool which can bridge the mind/body/emotional connection.

All aspects of the psyche and body must be balanced and harmonized for full and lasting healing to occur.

Osteopaths believe that all body systems interrelate and depend upon one another for good health. Osteopaths treat the entire body, including muscles, joints, viscera and cranial sphere.

In osteopathy, the therapist will utilize a holistic approach that not only focuses on the area of pain but includes an examination of the entire body to discover possible causes for the problem. For example, if you see an Osteopath for a sore knee, they will also look at your ankle, pelvis, and back

Registered Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is the manipulation of soft tissues of the body including muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints. Massage therapy is a clinically-oriented healthcare option that helps alleviate the discomfort associated with every day occupational stresses, muscular over-use and many chronic pain conditions.

Elaine has been in the medical field for over 25 years practicing as a cytotechnologist in the medical laboratory. She has transitioned to the field of acupuncture in search of a more holistic approach to healthcare – one that encompasses treating the physical as well as the emotional aspects of illness.

Elaine studied Traditional Chinese Medicine through Dr. Yin at Oshio College of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine and she continues to supplement her education by studying the role of fascial planes through courses taught by James Spears as well as incorporating Dr. Tan’s Balance Method.

Acupuncture addresses the immediate and underlying issues that lead to pain and illness. It can guide the body back to homeostasis and harmony. Digestion, women’s health, stress and anxiety, insomnia and pain management are just a few of the health concerns that Elaine can attend to.

When not in clinic, Elaine enjoys hiking, gardening and reading. She is a lifelong learner and has taken a number of introductory classes including archery, bookbinding, glassblowing and karate. Her latest curiosities include Tai Chi and flamenco dance.
